HERO INGREDIENT: Soapberry

  • Our serums contain 99.8% Sapindus Mukorossi Fruit Extract (Soapberry) Extract and the smallest percentage (0.2%) of Sodium Benzoate, a safe preservative to preserve the natural plant extracts while not compromising the results that Biologi delivers.
  • During the C.L.E.C.S.™ II extraction process distilled water and organic plant derived glycerin are used as a solvent. This enables the extraction of plant nutrients in a liquid matrix with our Bio-Key™ technology, protecting the natural actives and allowing the serum to perform on the skin just as it does in the plant. No additional water or glycerin is added to the final product.

PHYTO-ACTIVES

Phyto-actives are actives extracted from plants, delivered in the plants liquid matrix in a active stable form.

  • Amino acids - work to naturally condition skin while reducing redness and irritation. The significant antioxidant activity builds protection against free radicals to strengthen cells while leaving the complexion smooth and supple.
  • Triterpene glycosides - naturally contain significant antioxidant activity to protect against free radical damage while contributing to a brighter complexion. The actives work as a natural foaming and cleansing active that gives the cleanser a soapy texture. As a potent anti-inflammatory active, triterpene glycosides give the cleanser its soapy texture reducing redness and fighting against the early signs of ageing.
  • Amines - are a powerful source of antioxidants functioning to protect the skin against free radical and environmental damage. Amines act to reduce blemishes while building protein hydrolysate moisture into the skin to avoid drying out the complexion while removing surface dirt and oil.
  • Phenolic acids - provide significant antioxidant protection against free radical and environmental damage. While working to reduce redness and irritation, phenolic acid plump skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

HOW TO USE

  • Use 2-3 pumps, apply to damp hands and lightly massage over skin. Rinse well and/or remove with Biologi Microfibre Cloths.
  • Use twice a day to build antioxidant protection, strengthen barrier function and promote a healthy skin microbiome.
  • Can be used as a body cleanser and also as a shaving foam.

Why Have Biologi Changed The Bottle Packaging?

You asked and we listened! Due to the unique serum texture of our Bc Refresh Cleanser, the original bottle pump whilst effective, was not able to be locked into place to stop it leaking i.e. for travel or storage. After customer feedback, we took the initiative and found a better solution to house our incredible Bc Refresh Cleanser.

What’s Different With The New Packaging?

The bottle has a new luxe look, is bulkier in stature for easy handhold use. It’s updated pump is larger, better performing and allows for a ‘lock in’ system to stop any potential cleanser leak. We believe that this larger aerator pump, gives our Bc Refresh Cleanser the ability to produce a better soft foamy ‘top’ from the hero plant ingredient – soapberry. Importantly it’s also eco-friendly.

Why Does Our Bc Refresh Cleanser Have An Aerator Pump?

As Bc Refresh Cleanser is a unique serum type consistency, the aerator pump assists with lightly activating the plant-based natural saponins within the cleanser to produce a very light, soft fluffy ‘lather’. Once applied to your skin, this gentle ‘lather’ turns into a silky type emulsion that cleanses your skin effectively without stripping or drying the barrier, leaving it soft and refreshed.

What Is The New Bottle Made Of?

The bottle is 100% PCR – post consumer resin. PCR is a recycled material and offers quality, performance and protection for the product cleanser inside. We are proud to innovate and update our packaging where available for more sustainable packaging.

Is The Aerator Pump PCR?

The aerator pump is made from environmentally conscious, safe, recyclable PP (polypropylene) material.

How Can I Recycle My Bc Refresh Cleanser Packaging, Bottle & Pump?

PCR is a recycled product, however the bottle can go in a recycle bin, along with the box packaging and pump. You can also send your used empty bottle back to us and we will TerraCycle it and gift you a reward for doing so! Alternatively, you can drop it off at any instore recycle beauty box.

How Should I Store The Bc Refresh Cleanser When I Travel?

Turn the pump and put it into the lock position. This will stop cleanser leak during transit. After locking the top, you may find however, there will be a tiny amount of residue cleanser still in the top of the pump mechanism, this is normal, and we recommend wiping before packing.

How Should I Store The Bc Refresh Cleanser In General?

We recommend storing the cleanser in a dry environment away from direct sunlight and avoid leaving it for extended periods in shower/wet areas.

What Is The Best Way To Use The Bc Refresh Cleanser?

Lightly shake bottle before use. Using 2-3 pumps, apply to damp hands and lightly massage over skin and remove with Biologi Microfibre Cloths. Repeat if wearing makeup or SPF.

Can I Use The Bc Refresh Cleanser To Remove Eye Makeup?

We don't recommend putting the cleanser near your eyes. While Soapberry is completely natural, the powerful phytonutrients may cause irritation. We recommend using a reusable microfibre pad to remove all eye makeup.

Does It Foam?

Bc is a serum cleanser. The Soapberry extract contains a natural foaming agent so it has a runny, soapy texture and while it pumps out as a light foam the texture changes to feel silky as you start to cleanse. The Bc Refresh is free from synthetic foaming agents that create the thick, frothy texture and dry out the skin like you might be used to with traditional cleansers so it can take some time to adjust.

Why Do I Need A Reusable Microfibre Pad?

The skin is exposed to millions of toxins each day. Removing makeup and surface toxins with our Biologi Microfibre Cloths will allow the cleanser to work more efficiently and remove impurities from the epidermis.

How Often Should I Cleanse My Face?

Every day, twice a day! We recommend cleansing in the morning and a double cleanse at the end of the day.

What Does It Smell Like?

Bc Refresh is free from artificial fragrance and smells exactly like it does in the plant!

I Have Sensitised Skin, Can I Use This Cleanser?

This daily cleanser is suitable for all skin types. Due to the highly active and soothing phytonutrients, it's particularly gentle and beneficial for normal-to-dry, sensitive and problematic skin.

Is The Bc Refresh Cleanser Suited To Breakout Prone Skin?

Yes. The Bc Refresh Cleanser contains a combination of plant actives that work exceptionally well at improving barrier hydration and assisting with reducing the redness associated with problematic/breakout prone skin. When breakouts are present, they are often red and angry, so the Bc Refresh is a great cleanser to help soothe and ease the redness and severity of breakouts.

As the Bc Refresh Cleanser Is Unique With Naturally Occurring Saponins, Do I Need To Do Anything Special To Get The Best Results From This Cleanser?  

We recommend gently shaking the Bc Cleanser before each use to activate the naturally occurring extracts within Soapberry Extract. This also helps to prevent any potential separation which can be normal for this type of serum cleanser.

"Long term user of this cleanser since they launched it. It's perfect for me, I always go back go it after using others. I'm 36 with sensitive skin that can be blemish prone due to hormone and periodic outbreak of Folliculitis (fungal acne) during sweaty months. The cleanser seems to balance me. It feels clean, even after a single cleanse, but never makes me feel dry or tight. Its just calming & simple. Not suitable for cleansing eye makeup though. I have found most of the foaming bottles leak a little when travelling though."

"I’m literally obsessed with this cleanser, I can’t imagine using anything else. I love that it feels like a serum, but then cleanses. My skin feels really clean and yet not dry at all. Love it also combined with the exfoliation product. My only feedback would be I find it hard to travel with it as it leaks (and the smaller size) so I end up having to put tape over the hole and some tissue in the top to fill the gap in the lid and this stops the tape coming off because being an oil it often doesn’t stick! Anyone help with this - is there a way to stop leaking?"
