You asked, we answered! Your most common Biologi questions answered
Consumers have been following traditional skincare routines for generations.
Cleanse, tone, moisturise repeat.
Add face masks, eye masks, eye cream, makeup remover wipes and exfoliants into the equation and the toxic load on the skin is increasing.
With traditional skincare habits well established, when making the transition to clean cosmeceuticals, it can be hard to know where to start.
As the world’s first phytonutrient skincare backed by science, Biologi honours a commitment to provide consumers with education about what the skin needs to thrive.
We don’t just provide a skincare solution; we also educate and tell you WHY our range of clean cosmeceuticals is arguably the best for your cells.
With customer experience at the forefront of the Biologi brand, our team responds to every direct message, email and customer query to help consumers make the best skincare choices.
To share the benefit of our wisdom with you all, here are answers to some of the most popular questions our customer experience team is regularly asked.
Q: Can I store my Biologi products in the fridge?
We strongly advise NOT to store serums in any kind of fridge. The lower temperature can crystalise the extracts so they must be kept at room temperature. Similarly, the active ingredients can lose potency if they become too hot. The best place to store serums is in the bathroom cupboard away from direct sunlight.
Q: Can I use Bk Rejuvenation Eye Serum on my face as well as eyes?
A: Yes, you can!
The potent actives found in Kakadu plum (the single-plant ingredient in Bk Serum) work on every skin cell just as they do in the plant. Bk serum is named eye serum because the potent actives help to target the eye-specific visible signs of ageing such as bags, puffiness and dark circles.
But this doesn’t mean the actives aren’t effective on the rest of the skin helping to hydrate, build antioxidant protection and give skin its glow.
Q: What is the ideal Biologi routine?
A: Biologi serums are all multiuse with extracts chosen for their active ingredients that target specific skin concerns. While you can use the serum that suits your skin the best, each serum has an array of benefits meaning you can incorporate your chosen serums into a routine in the way that suits your skin.
While there’s no exact routine other than the one that works best for you, we recommend the framework of your routine is as follows:
- Biologi serum of choice
- Pre-cleanse or remove makeup
- Serum of choice
- Apply Br Organic Rosehip Oil over the top of serums for extra hydration or nourishment (make sure you wait five minutes for serums to penetrate before applying oil over the top)
- Once or twice a week exfoliate as required
Q: Can I layer my Biologi serums?
Rather than doubling the impact, laying the serums can actually cancel out the activity in the plant extracts. If you want to use two serums, we recommend using one in the AM and one in the PM. Or using the serums on alternate days. To use Bk Rejuvenation Eye Serum on the eye area only, apply serum of choice to the whole face APART from the eye area.
Br Organic Rosehip Oil can be applied over the top of serums as required but wait at least five minutes for serums to penetrate first.
Q: Is Biologi pregnancy safe?
A: Yes, it is!
Biologi is free from synthetics making it pure enough to drink! Our Bf Restore Face & Body Serum is safe for mum-to-be, breastfeeding mums and even newborn babies.
Q: Why is my serum a different colour from the last bottle?
A: All our serums are extracted from organic fruit. When dealing with true nature in this way, a colour variation can always happen from season to season or fruit to fruit. If your serum is a different colour from the last bottle, it’s absolutely nothing to worry about.
Q: Do I still need a toner?
A: Many toners contain synthetic stripping agent to dry out the skin. This can sensitise the skin and deplete the natural oils so we don’t recommend using toner. Biologi works best on clean, dry skin and doesn’t need anything else to be efficient.
Q: Why have I got spots after using Biologi for the first time?
A: Breakouts after using Biologi for the first time could be a skin purge. A purge is an adjustment period while your skin gets used to active ingredients. Essentially, a skin purge is the cells detoxing from the synthetic ingredients before it starts to repair. A purge is different for everyone. It can last for a few days up to a few weeks and in many cases, it doesn’t happen at all.
If skin starts to purge, we urge you to persevere as once the toxins are out of the cells, the results really will speak for themselves.
Biologi offers a revolutionary approach to skincare and we’re committed to empowering consumers with the knowledge they need to make informed choices about what they put on their skin.
